Entirely too much engineering and related talent and time is being expended on operational deficiencies plaguing the human-made world. Operational problem mitigation will always be needed, but the dramatic payoff for humankind lies in operational problem avoidance through system thinking and system design. 

The Omega Alpha Association is being established to identify, recognize, and honor individuals who have internalized and are promulgating the philosophy of da Vinci; addressing the end before the beginning.

The designation Omega Alpha is appropriate and timely.  It is derived from da Vinci thinking and emphasizes the purpose of Systems Engineering in service to humankind.

Omega Alpha is an idea whose time has come.  The Association was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia USA on July 10 of 2006 and the path forward is being developed by a Board of five and fifteen Charter Members.
